Darin Feinstein, CEO, is a California Licensed attorney and Blackhawk's founding member. Mr. Feinstein established Blackhawk Capital Partners in 2000, with the purpose of actively participating in added value transactions primarily in real estate related industries - commercial, industrial and residential. Blackhawk's core investment approach was to recognize, analyze and then invest in added value or distressed business opportunities. Mr. Feinstein personally and through Blackhawk has raised an aggregate of over 250 Million dollars for wide range of deals including real estate and non-real estate related assets. Prior to founding Blackhawk, Mr. Feinstein worked as in-house counsel at a real estate investment banking firm that specialized in equity based lending, and at Kenneth Leventhal (which later became Ernst and Young) as a staff accountant. Mr. Feinstein graduated from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles where he obtained his Juris Doctorate, and attended The University of Wisconsin, Madison, and the University of Arizona where he obtained a business degree in accounting.
Jonathan Davidson, a graduate of The George Washington University and Pepperdine University School of Law, California licensed attorney Jonathan Davidson serves as In-House Counsel for Blackhawk Capital Partners. Davidson is responsible for all of Blackhawk's transactional legal work for each new project. Davidson also acts as Project Manager for Blackhawk, working to secure entitlement from local planning departments and governmental entities. Davidson has significant entitlement experience including the full entitlement of a 272-unit condominium conversion in Sacramento, CA, and he is currently working on a 28-unit condominium project in West Hollywood, CA, and two proposed beachfront single family residences in Malibu, CA. Davidson also assists on the mergers and acquisitions side, evaluating and underwriting prospective projects.
Robert Schuster, a California and New York licensed attorney, acts as a project manager overseeing the turnaround of The Brentwood and The Palms Apartment Complexes in Texas. Mr. Schuster also specializes in construction and finance issues with over 40 years of experience in those fields. Mr. Schuster has been involved in the reformation of many distressed companies and was CEO of a NASDAQ listed company that raised over $80 Million. Mr. Schuster also serves on the board of advisors to Fatburger, Corporation.
Bevan Cooney, the chief marketing architect and founding partner of Blackhawk, acts as a scouting partner locating unique opportunities in a variety of markets. After attending The University of Arizona, Mr. Cooney became a partner in a boutique real estate investment banking company called Red Circle, Inc., which later merged with Blackhawk Capital Partners. Mr. Cooney has raised several hundred million dollars for a variety of projects and is an expert in the debt and equity markets.
